Meet Patches! This adorable 1-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua may be small, but he has the spirit of a lion and the roar of a kitten. His favorite things in life are simple: playing hard, snuggling close, and spending as much time as possible with his people. Patches is the definition of a social butterfly. He happily zooms around the yard with dogs of every size—from a 70-pound Pit Bull to an 8-pound Chihuahua—and loves them all. He's also met the resident cat and was very curious about making a new friend. After receiving a firm "no thank you" in the form of a hiss, Patches quickly got the message and respectfully gave her space. This sweet boy is potty trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and is learning the ropes of walking on a leash. He's still a little unsure of it, but at only a year old, he's got plenty of time to build his confidence. Patches may be tiny, but his heart is enormous. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, playful companion who will keep you smiling and your lap warm, Patches is ready to meet you!
Ideal Home
Patches' dream home is one where he won't be alone for long stretches of the day. He's happiest when he's close to his favorite humans, whether that's playing in the yard, curling up on the couch, or simply following you from room to room. Pair him with another friendly dog, and you'll have one very happy little guy.
