Small but mighty, Alexi is the little sister to two burly brothers. She's mostly white with touches of brown and black spots and a soft brown and black mask that frames her bright, curious eyes and floppy brown ears that bounce when she runs. Alexi is a smart little pup. She lifts her tiny nose, with its little white spot, toward the sky and forges her way through the winding garden. She'll give a confident bark—not the loudest bark, but the boldest—and trots out with her tail held high to show her foster family what treasures she's found. She's pretty brave if there is a loud noise and stands her ground—no growls, but she'll cock her head and wait to see if there's danger. If there is a new person, she is cautious but warms up quickly. She loves to play ball or chase with the kids and loves to find sticks. She tolerates the toddler and has great energy. She plays well with the foster dog and pays no attention to the house cat. When she's tired, she will walk over and relax in the kennel, which is her safe place, or snuggle in to her foster mom. She is working on potty training, which is going well. Alexi may have been the smallest puppy in the family, but she definitely has courage, kindness, and a heart far bigger than her paws. Alexi is estimated to be 8 weeks old and 5 lbs. Since we don't know the dog's actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown.
Ideal Home
Alexi loves to play ball or chase with the kids and has great energy. She tolerates toddlers and plays well with other dogs and ignores cats.
Ongoing Health
All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
Training & Support
Alexi is working on potty training, which is going well. She is cautious with new people but warms up quickly. When there are loud noises, she is brave and will stand her ground.
