DEXTER

Dexter is a handsome 4-year-old, 52.4 lb bundle of energy looking for his forever home! Dexter is a big fan of the outdoors and his humans, and you can often find him with a toy in his mouth, happily running around the yard. He's even got some experience with DISC competitions, showing off his impressive jumping and frisbee-catching skills! Dexter has been with us for a while and is really hoping to find a loving family to share his love of play and adventure with. He also has a fun quirk: he loves diving into toy boxes to find his favorite playthings!

Ideal Home

Dexter would thrive in an active environment where he can play to his heart's content. He would do best in a household with older children who will enjoy taking him on long walks and playing with him. Dexter prefers to have his personal space respected by other dogs and doesn't like it when they get too close. He also tends to chase cats, so a cat-free home would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Dexter's adoption fee includes his spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, microchip, DA2PP, Pyrantel, and Bordatella nasal vaccine.

Training & Support

Dexter is house-trained and knows several commands, including sit, down, stay (somewhat), shake, and drop. He's also made great progress with leash walking, and while he can occasionally pull, he's been improving with a no-pull harness.
