Lucrecia is a beautiful, approximately 3-year-old female Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a heart full of love to give! Weighing around 33 lbs and standing 22 inches tall, this active girl is about 24 inches long. Lucrecia was found wandering the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, a bit scared and distrustful. She had an injured paw that has since been treated and healed beautifully. Now safe in a foster home, Lucrecia has blossomed into an affectionate, playful, and intelligent companion who loves interacting with her foster siblings. She is eager to find a family who will cherish her and help her continue to feel safe and loved.
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard. Families who enjoy outdoor activities and have experience with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed would be a great match. She needs a patient and understanding home that recognizes the needs of a rescued street animal and is committed to providing her with protection and ongoing education. If you have experience with dog behavior and training, Lucrecia will feel right at home.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She is on monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworm with Nexgard Spectra. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available. Her previous paw injury has been treated and healed without issue.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not house-trained, and her foster home has been focused on her overall health and emotional rehabilitation due to her past experiences. She will require a patient adopter who is committed to ongoing training and house-training efforts. Her foster family has observed that she is intelligent and eager to please, which will be a great asset in her training journey.

Transportation
Lucrecia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast of the United States. Transportation is available and will be arranged for adopted pets. The adopter will be responsible for a transport fee of $400.00, payable prior to the pet's departure. This service will deliver Lucrecia directly to your home address on the East Coast.
