Felix

Felix is a male Beagle, estimated to be young and small. He's a cuddle bug who absolutely adores his people and gets so excited when his foster family comes home! Felix is doing well with the other dogs in his current foster home, though he seems to mirror their behaviors and might do best with female canine companions. His house training has been marvelous, and he's a pro at crate training, happily going into his crate when asked. He's been crated for up to 8 hours and tolerated it well, even with an estimated high energy level. Felix is very food motivated, which is great for training! He'll readily sit or go to his crate for a tasty treat. Felix does appear to have a prey drive, as he reacts to squirrels and rabbits. We are unsure how he would do with cats.

Ideal Home

Felix would thrive in a home with affectionate people who are patient as he settles in. He may do best in a home with female dogs.

Ongoing Health

Felix is heartworm positive. He will be starting his activity restriction after his injections and will be transporting from Louisiana.

Training & Support

Felix's leash skills are average, and he does pull when excited. His food motivation can be a great asset for training.
