Meet Journey!
Every rescue dog has a story, but Journey's name says it all. When she was found, she had been tethered outside in the Texas heat with no access to water, food, or shade. Severely underweight and frightened, she had every reason to give up on people. Instead, this resilient girl held on and waited for someone to help.
Journey is approximately 4 years old and is now safe in foster care, where she's finally learning what it means to be loved and cared for. While she can be shy when meeting new people, that's understandable given her past. Once she feels safe, her sweet and gentle nature begins to shine. Journey is looking for a patient family that will give her the time she needs to build confidence and trust. She doesn't ask for much—just a soft place to rest, regular meals, and someone who will show her that the difficult chapters of her life are behind her.
With each passing day, Journey is gaining strength, putting on healthy weight, and discovering that the world can be a kind place. Her foster family is already seeing glimpses of the loving companion she is becoming. Journey isn't just her name—it's the path she's traveled and the beautiful future still ahead of her.
