Odele

Hi there! My name is Odele, and I'm a sweet 2.5-month-old Dachshund mix puppy looking for my forever home. I came to the DC area all the way from a shelter in Puerto Rico with my littermates, and now I'm ready to explore the world with my new family! I'm about 9 lbs right now, but I'm sure I'll grow into a wonderful companion. I love to play with toys, get my zoomies out, and then settle in for some snuggle time. I'm also eager to make new doggie friends and explore my neighborhood on walks. I'd love to attend a puppy obedience class to show off how smart I am!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home that will give me plenty of opportunities to play and explore. Since I'm still a young puppy, I'll need multiple potty breaks and exercise sessions throughout the day. If you work a standard 8-hour workday, please be prepared to make arrangements to meet my needs. I also hope to make lots of doggie friends along the way!

Ongoing Health

I've had my age-appropriate vaccines, but it's important that my new family ensures I receive the rest of my puppy vaccines on schedule. Until I'm fully vaccinated, I'll be at a greater risk for illness than an adult dog. I have not yet been spayed, and as part of my adoption contract, this must be completed no later than October 17, 2026.

Training & Support

I'll need some work on house training and would greatly benefit from attending obedience school to help me grow into a well-socialized dog.
