At 1 year old and 22 lbs, Minnie looks like a miniature pocket sized German Shepherd with her adorable ears, soulful eyes, and sleek tan coat. She is a Sato, which is a Puerto Rican street dog, and she was rescued alongside her sister after they were found abandoned and surviving on the streets of Puerto Rico.

Minnie is a very sweet natured girl who just needs a little time to feel safe. She can be shy at first with new people and situations, but once she warms up, her gentle personality shines through. She will need a patient adopter willing to let her settle in at her own pace and continue building her confidence.

Minnie absolutely loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another confident dog to help guide her and make her feel secure. Having a canine companion really helps her come out of her shell.

She is crate, leash, and potty trained and has already adjusted beautifully to home life. Minnie is looking for a calm, loving family that will give her the patience and reassurance she deserves.
