Meet Willie!
At just 6 pounds, Willie may be tiny, but he's ready to fill a very big spot in someone's heart. This adorable Yorkshire Terrier celebrated his 6th birthday just last month and is ready to start the best chapter of his life. Willie came to us after spending his life with a breeder. Now that his working days are behind him, he's looking forward to a well-earned retirement filled with soft beds, cozy blankets, tasty treats, and plenty of lap time. Willie loves people. If you sit down, don't be surprised if he immediately volunteers himself as your new lap warmer. Being close to his humans is his favorite place to be, and he's happiest when he's curled up beside you soaking up attention. Willie gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy sharing his home with other small canine friends. He's a sweet, easygoing little guy who is learning what it's like to be a cherished family member. After six years of making a living for someone else, it's finally Willie's turn to be spoiled. If you're looking for a devoted little companion who wants nothing more than a warm lap and a loving home, Willie is ready to settle into retirement and spend his days being loved.
Ideal Home
Willie is looking for an indoor home only.
Ongoing Health
Willie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He just had a dental procedure.
Training & Support
Willie is doing pretty well with housetraining, but like many dogs coming from breeding situations, he isn't perfect. He does best when taken outside frequently and kept on a consistent schedule. Because of his tiny size and occasional accidents, Willie wears a belly band indoors. With patience, routine, and understanding, he will continue to make progress in his new home.
