Carmie is also a fantastic adventure co-pilot, with a perfect track record for car rides and a love for visiting pet-friendly stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. She's obsessed with all people and will be the most enthusiastic welcoming committee you've ever met. While Carmie can be a bit of a character, sometimes "talking back" or startling herself with her own toots, she brings endless joy and laughter to her humans.
Ideal Home
Carmie would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention, as she's looking for a "no pets, all people" sanctuary. She needs an active family who views walks as an engaging team sport. A fenced-in yard is highly recommended for safe zoomies when she's not out on her "Walkie-Talkies" training missions.
Ongoing Health
Carmie has a managed heart condition (ventricular arrhythmia), but it doesn't slow her down. She will need a family committed to her medication schedule.
Training & Support
Carmie is working on her leash reactivity and would benefit from continued training. She knows commands but performs them "when she feels like it." She's looking for owners who understand her need for ongoing positive reinforcement and are happy to use high-value treats like ham and cheese, along with cheek scratches, as motivators. She comes with six virtual training sessions with a certified trainer in the first 60 days to help you get started on the right paw!
