Meet Rusty!
Rusty is a handsome 1-year-old Husky/Aussie mix with a heart as big as his smile. After being rescued from the euthanasia list, he's been given a second chance, and now he's looking for the forever family he deserves. Rusty is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate. He loves spending time outside, especially if there's a rope toy involved, but once he's gotten his energy out, he's happiest curled up next to his people. Being with his humans is his favorite place to be, and he's always ready for cuddles or to simply hang out by your side. He's a smart boy who loves to learn. Rusty already knows "sit" and "come," and he's quickly catching on to "stay" and "lay down." He's potty trained, walks well on a leash, rides great in the car, and settles nicely in his kennel at night. He'll let you know if someone is around by barking a bit in the backyard but he's not an excessive barker. Rusty has a loyal, loving personality and would make an amazing companion for a family looking for a best friend. Whether it's playing in the yard, going on adventures, or relaxing together after a long day, he's ready to be part of it all. He's already overcome so much in his young life, and now all he needs is someone to show him what it truly means to be loved.

Rusty is up to date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Rusty knows "sit" and "come" and is learning "stay" and "lay down." He is potty trained and walks well on a leash. He settles nicely in his kennel and is not an excessive barker, though he will alert you if someone is around.
