Alba is a delightful approximately 1-year-old Labrador Creole mix who weighs around 30 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Alba is a loving, intelligent, and obedient girl with a playful spirit. She’s energetic and sociable with people of all ages, including children and other dogs. Alba enjoys walks, running, and showering her loved ones with affection. While she can be a little shy when first meeting new people, she quickly melts into your arms once she feels comfortable. She's also dog and cat friendly! Alba is a very affectionate, docile, playful, and loyal companion. She's incredibly joyful and has a funny, engaging personality. She is crate and leash trained. Alba was found with her six siblings in a field on March 8, 2024.
Ideal Home
Alba would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. She needs a family with an open conscience regarding the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, requiring protection and education. Ideal adopters will have experience with dog behavior and training, and possess a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Alba has a comprehensive health protocol. She is spayed/neutered and has received two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has been dewormed and microchipped. Alba has a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate, and receives monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet. Please note that rescued pets may not be house-trained.
Training & Support
Alba is crate and leash trained. While she is generally obedient, it's important to understand that rescued animals, especially those who were very young at rescue, may not be house-trained. The rescue organization emphasizes that house-training is a significant undertaking and cannot be guaranteed for all their rescued pets. Adopters should be prepared to provide consistent training and positive reinforcement.

Transportation
Alba is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on the next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available and will be provided by a transport company for a fee of $400.00, which is to be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
