About TEDDY

Teddy is a charming 3.5-year-old, 10lb bundle of love! His DNA reveals a delightful mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds, making him truly unique. When he first came to us, he was quite matted and needed a good shave, but his beautiful coat has since grown back. He’s a handsome boy who will need regular grooming to maintain his good looks. Teddy underwent successful cataract surgery on both eyes, and after a short recovery period with medication, his eyesight is now fantastic! He adores being a lap dog and will happily snuggle up with his favorite person. He generally gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers calmer companions and can become a bit overwhelmed by overly energetic pups. Teddy can be a bit protective of his food, so he would do best as the only dog or with a quiet, older canine friend. He is mostly house-trained, enjoys walks on the leash, and loves car rides. Teddy is sure to be a wonderful companion for the right person!

Ideal Home

Teddy would be happiest as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion dog. He is not suited for a home with children under 8 years old and requires experienced dog owners.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now fully healed. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Canine Influenza) and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and parasites. He is neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

Teddy is mostly house-trained but may have occasional accidents. He can be snippy when it comes to his food and does not like to share. Consistent positive reinforcement and clear boundaries will help him continue to thrive.
