Neptune

Neptune is a handsome 1.5-year-old, 80 lb Hound mix with a heart full of love to give! When Neptune first arrived, he was quite fearful of people, but he's made amazing progress and is so much more confident now. He can still be a bit skittish in new situations, and his instinct is to hide when he feels scared, but there's not a mean bone in his body. With a little time and patience, Neptune will absolutely blossom and learn to trust his new family completely. He's a very sweet boy who enjoys playing with other dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. Neptune is looking for a kind, patient family who will give him the space he needs to decompress and feel safe. He truly deserves a home where he can be loved with everything they've got!

Ideal Home

Neptune would thrive in a home with a patient and understanding family who can give him the time he needs to adjust. He has been good with children 12 and older, but has not been exposed to younger children while in our care. He loves to play with other dogs! We don't know how he would do with cats.

Ongoing Health

Neptune is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Neptune walks well on a leash. While he currently has regular access to the outdoors, we are unsure if he is fully house-trained. We also don't know if he is crate-trained. He may need continued positive reinforcement to build his confidence in new situations.
