Hemi

Hemi is a resilient and loving American Staffordshire Terrier mix who was found in a difficult situation in January 2021, with a string tight around his neck and a leg that had healed from at least two breaks. Despite his past hardships, Hemi remains trusting and eager for affection. He is a pleasure to be around once he's out of his kennel, easily handled, and unbothered by grooming or nail trims. Hemi is affectionate and will come when called, proving to be a truly wonderful and tough companion.

Ideal Home

Hemi enjoys leisurely walks to minimize stress on his leg. He also loves water and would likely thrive with swimming as a way to burn energy. He enjoys walking with other dogs and is being introduced to playgroups. His compatibility with cats has not yet been tested.

Ongoing Health

Hemi is currently on a joint supplement to support his fractured leg. While his gait is a bit awkward, he walks without difficulty.

Hemi is a smart and loving dog who is eager to please. With consistent positive reinforcement and gentle guidance, he will surely continue to blossom.
