Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix who is as sweet as she is playful! She's a low-rider with a tank-like build and an adorable underbite that makes all her goofy expressions even cuter. Nona is growing into herself and her confidence, soaking up the world and learning to channel her joy into being the best girl. She's a fast runner and loves zooming around the backyard with her toys. Nona isn't overly needy but loves being near her people and will greet you with an enthusiastic wiggle and wagging tail. She enjoys meeting new friends and has been practicing her socialization skills, even doing wonderfully when meeting a child. Nona has a bit of a stubborn streak which only adds to her charm. She's incredibly clever and motivated by toys and treats, making training fun. She has mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. Nona enjoys walks of up to 2-3 miles and is a delightful companion once she arrives at her destination, though she's not a huge fan of car rides. She's fully crate and potty trained and is a shy watchdog, alerting you to anything unfamiliar. Nona is dog-friendly and enjoys playing with her foster siblings and uncle, but would do best with a canine companion who respects personal space. She hasn't been around cats or children in a home setting, but we believe she'd do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children. Nona is expected to be a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, and hilarious companion with a happy wiggle butt and a personality to keep you laughing, Nona is ready to meet you!
Ideal Home
Nona would thrive in a home with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only. She would do best with a canine companion who is respectful of personal space and happy to share the spotlight. Based on her personality, we think she'd do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered kids who understand how to interact with an older puppy.
Ongoing Health
Nona is spayed.
Training & Support
Nona has mastered "sit" and is continuing to work on her leash manners. She is fully crate trained, especially overnight, and settles in beautifully. She's also doing great with her potty training and just needs a family willing to continue reinforcing her routine. She's a bit of a shy little watchdog, too. She's not the bravest girl around, but she'll absolutely sound the alarm if she hears or sees something unfamiliar.
