Meet Lucy Van Pelt, a 4-year-old, 45 lb husky with a heart of gold and a mind of her own! This smart and devoted girl is looking for her forever pack. Lucy's foster family describes her as the smartest husky they've ever fostered, and her piercing blue eyes, while they might seem to judge, actually belong to a deeply loving companion.
Lucy has a history of being surrendered due to a skin condition, which led her to an overcrowded shelter with a grim prognosis. Thankfully, our rescue team intervened, and she's been thriving ever since. Her skin is healing beautifully thanks to a healthy diet, and she enjoys fresh snacks like apples, cucumbers, and broccoli.
Ideal Home
Lucy thrives in a home with a structured routine that includes plenty of exercise – think two 45-minute walks and a 30-minute play session daily. She'd be happiest in a work-from-home environment or with another canine companion to keep her company. She's a vocal girl and might howl if dinner is late or if she smells something delicious, but she's a polite hostess who doesn't bark at visitors.

Lucy's skin condition is healing perfectly. She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
Training & Support
Lucy is incredibly smart and treat-motivated, showing remarkable progress in obedience training. She's eager to keep learning and is already house-trained. She's devoted to her pack and lives harmoniously with her foster sibling. While she's made initial introductions with cats, her compatibility is still being assessed.
