Reagan

Reagan is a one-year-old, 105-pound Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a large hoarding situation. While the dogs were provided with basic care, they missed out on crucial socialization and everyday home experiences. Despite his background, Reagan has a remarkably positive attitude and is the most confident dog from the group, though he's still learning about household routines and unfamiliar sights and sounds. He enjoys people, seeks attention, and is eager to engage more than we anticipated.

Reagan isn't a shut-down dog or a "project" in the daunting sense. He's a young, under-socialized giant breed who needs a patient, structured, and sensible owner. He has the sweet, friendly temperament to become a wonderful house dog with the right guidance.

Ideal Home

A confident, friendly dog in the home would be beneficial for Reagan, though he's not as reliant on this as some of the other dogs from his situation. He is good with other dogs and fine with cats. Given his size and ongoing learning process, we recommend a home with children over the age of 10. As he will be well over 100 pounds, his adopter must be prepared for a large livestock guardian breed with presence, opinions, and a good sense of judgment. A securely fenced yard is a must.
