Kimosabe is a gentle adult male Labrador Retriever mix who is ready to be your trusty scout and faithful friend. He came to us from a home with over 20 dogs where individual needs were not met, meaning he didn't receive proper socialization and is still learning about humans. Kimosabe has made wonderful progress in our care, learning to walk on a leash and understanding that visits from volunteers mean time outside of his kennel with treats and fresh air. He is tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs and may benefit from a calm, confident canine companion in his new home to show him the ropes.

Ideal Home

Kimosabe will need a secure yard and a family that understands he requires gentle, patient guidance as he adjusts to his new life.

Ongoing Health

Kimosabe is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Kimosabe is still learning about humans and will need time and patience to feel safe and adjust to home life. He has learned to walk on a leash and is progressing well with socialization.
