Sophia

Sophia is a gorgeous girl in search of a loving forever home. She was surrendered to a high-kill shelter because her previous owner could no longer care for her, and she was terrified. Sophia has come a long way since then but is still a work in progress. She was likely an only dog and may not have had much exposure to people. She bonded with her foster mom immediately, but she is still a bit wary of new people. With patience and positive experiences, she should become more comfortable. Sophia is a 70lb spayed female, born in 2015.

Ideal Home

Sophia would do best in a quiet home with an experienced and patient owner. For now, she would not do well in a home with children. She is learning to interact with other dogs and would be fine as a single dog or with another confident, good-natured canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Sophia is current on her shots and is heartworm negative. She is microchipped.

Training & Support

Sophia is house-trained and crate-trained. She is still learning social skills and needs continued positive reinforcement and gentle introductions to new people and situations.
