Honey

Honey is a sweet and affectionate 52.7 lb girl who will surely steal your heart! Her trainer describes her as obedient, focused on her "homework," and very playful yet independent. Honey is a gorgeous dog with loving eyes and a resilient spirit. She is smart, curious, and loves to play, fetching like a champ! Born on February 15, 2020, Honey is a well-behaved dog who listens well to strong leadership. She knows basic commands and enjoys long walks, trotting right by your side.

Ideal Home

Honey would thrive in a home with plenty of love and activities. She would do best with at least one other dog her age and would appreciate a home with adults or a family with grown children who can provide strong leadership. Honey's enthusiasm and energy might be a bit much for very young children. If considering adding Honey to a home with another dog, a slow and supervised introduction process is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Honey has been treated for tick fever and has been cleared by the vet. She will receive a full medical assessment before leaving Cortez Rescue to ensure she is in optimal health.

Training & Support

Honey is a graduate of training school and is described as very obedient. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, she can be a bit picky and prefers passive playmates. She does not like to be bullied by other dogs, but she has a special fondness for puppies. Supervised introductions and playdates with other dogs are recommended.
