BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, scruffy Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix who weighs 80 pounds. This affectionate, sweet boy loves to snuggle, play fetch with his squeaky toy, and spend time with his people. After outdoor adventures, he is happy to settle down and relax.

Baxter was rescued after being abandoned and is now thriving in foster care. He would make a loving adventure companion for a family who enjoys the outdoors and cozy evenings together.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along well with other dogs, especially female dogs, and has shown no signs of aggression. He currently lives with children ages 3 and 5, though older children may be a better fit because he does not always realize his size. A home without cats or chickens is recommended.

He enjoys running, sniffing, exploring, and investigating, and may enjoy water activities. His wiry coat is adorable and very low-shedding.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. He is scheduled for a veterinary checkup and health certificate before travel.

Training & Support

Baxter is crate trained and house trained. He is learning to walk on a leash, is not destructive, and has not been a habitual chewer. He sits calmly for baths and loves drinking from a garden hose.
