Meet Venus! This sweet 5-year-old, 45 lb Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix is a true gem. Venus is a gentle soul who loves to be close to her people, resting her head on your lap and gazing up with adoration. She's a calm companion who's happy to relax with you or join you on an adventure. Venus also enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play and explore with her canine friends, especially during backyard zoomies. She's a water-loving goofball who finds joy in splashing in pools or streams. Venus is also a great travel companion, riding well in the car.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's a cherished family member. A home with older, respectful children who understand boundaries would be a good fit. Due to her strong interest in chasing cats, a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best.
Ongoing Health
Venus is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking other dogs' meals.
Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and can be trusted when left loose in the house. She is working on her leash manners and can pull a bit, but she is a quick learner and is very food motivated.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks, and approved dogs will be on the next available transport.
