BeeBop is a sassy, sweet girl born in September 2019 who loves to be by her person's side. She's alright with other dogs, but would do best with a gentle, well-socialized canine companion. She needs a home without children, as she dislikes excessive physical contact and can nip. BeeBop was transferred to Muddy Paws from a local shelter after a difficult past where she suffered severe abuse, starvation, and was left deaf. She may have sustained some brain damage from her past injuries, but she's an amazing dog who is learning sign language and thriving with behavior modification and medication.
Ideal Home
A home that can provide a calm and understanding environment. BeeBop would not do well in an apartment due to her occasional barking when running.
Ongoing Health
BeeBop is deaf and has behavioral quirks that we refer to as Obsessive Compulsive. She sometimes gets into "loops" where she runs, circles, and hits her nose on the ground. These episodes are easily redirected with treats, toys, or a light flash. Her episodes have decreased with behavior modification and medication, and she no longer bangs her head unless very frustrated.
Training & Support
BeeBop is a smart girl who is learning sign language and knows several commands. She is potty trained when let out but will not alert you when she needs to go. She is good in her kennel and enjoys treats. BeeBop can be very noisy when excited or upset, with a bark/chirp/scream that is quite loud.

BeeBop is located in the Omaha, NE area. Adoptions must be completed in person in the Omaha, NE area. We do not ship or deliver.
