Honey

Honey is a sweet, playful, and independent girl who lives up to her name. She is gorgeous with loving eyes and a resilient heart. Honey is also affectionate, curious, smart, and loves to fetch. She was born on 2/15/20 and is well-behaved, listening well to strong leadership. She knows basic commands and loves long walks by your side. Honey has done well in playgroups with several dogs, showing a preference for passive females and an aversion to being bullied. She has a particular fondness for puppies.

Ideal Home

Honey would do well as a single dog in a home with adults or a family with grown children who can provide strong leadership. Her enthusiasm and energy might be too much for very young children. She could live happily with another dog, provided the family takes the time for slow introductions and supervision.

Ongoing Health

Honey was treated for tick fever and has been cleared by the vet. She will receive a full medical assessment before leaving Cortez Rescue to ensure she is in optimum health.

Training & Support

Honey has completed training school and is described as obedient and focused. She is described as a bit picky about her playmates and does not like to be bullied. Initial introductions and playdates with other dogs should be supervised.
