Rocket, a handsome 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit mix weighing in at 65 lbs, is a resilient and loving companion. He was rescued from the side of a highway in Houston after being hit by a car, but thanks to dedicated veterinary care, he's now fully healed and ready to find his forever home. Rocket is a true testament to the power of kindness and is eager to return that kindness with a lifetime of love and loyalty.

Ideal Home

Rocket would thrive in a home that can match his moderate energy levels with a good romp or a couple of nice walks each day. He's a champion chewer, so a home that can provide him with plenty of tough chew toys would be ideal. He has a prey drive, so a fenced yard is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Rocket is heartworm-negative, neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all his vaccines.

Training & Support

Rocket is a well-trained dog who is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic and advanced obedience commands, including heel, sit, down, stay, and come. He walks beautifully on a leash and is comfortable with an e-collar if needed, though he doesn't require it. He is also socialized and good with other dogs and young children. His only notable vice is his love for chewing, but he's happy to focus his efforts on appropriate toys.
