About Bear Buddy Heart

Bear Buddy Heart is a handsome, confident, and people-loving guy with a big presence and an even bigger personality! He's estimated to be just over a year old and weighs about 60 lbs. While his breed is likely a mix, what's certain is that Bear is a dog ready to learn and eager to engage. He's responsive and treat-motivated, making him a joy to train. Bear absolutely shines when it comes to people skills; he's loving and genuinely enjoys human interaction, happily joining in on activities or just lounging nearby. He's already house and crate trained, which is a fantastic head start!

Ideal Home

Bear is still in his puppy phase, so he'll need continued guidance, especially on leash when he sees other dogs. He'd do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. While he hasn't lived with cats, he showed curiosity and restraint with a resident cat, suggesting he could live peacefully with a feline friend with slow introductions and a dog-savvy cat. He thrives in an active home that provides regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned. Bear is fully vetted, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, microchipping, and he has a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Bear needs continued guidance on leash manners when encountering other dogs, as he can get overly excited. While he can be a bit pushy in play with other dogs initially, he shows respect once he knows them, as demonstrated with a feisty chihuahua in his foster home. Consistent handling, proper introductions, and the right dog match will help him become a wonderful playmate. He loves enrichment puzzles, which are great for his brain!
