Papi Chulo De La Calle is a handsome gentleman with a quiet confidence that makes him easy company and a joy to have around. Estimated to be around 3 years old and looking very much like an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, Papi is a rescue, so his exact breed and age are our best guess. His foster family tells us he is a well-mannered, medium-energy companion with excellent dog social skills, lovely house manners, and an easygoing nature.
Ideal Home
Papi would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy some outdoor time. He can happily join a home with other respectful dogs or be the one and only canine companion soaking up all the attention himself. Papi has previously shown he may want to play chase with cats, so he would do best in a cat-free home.

Papi is a rescue dog, so we don't have a known medical history. He has been vetted and is ready for his forever home.
Training & Support
Papi is crate trained, trustworthy in the home, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on leash with gentle guidance. When meeting new people, Papi likes to play it cool at first, taking his time to sniff and observe before deciding you're a friend. Once he settles in, he relaxes comfortably and shows his sweet and easygoing nature.

Transporation
Papi is currently in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Transport includes various drop-off locations across the US and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
