Etta(Dream Girl)

Etta, also known as "Dream Girl," is a sweet and loving heeler mix who was found running near a busy highway. Despite initial assumptions that she might be feral, Etta quickly showed her true colors as a well-behaved and adaptable dog. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and even tolerates cats, though she might playfully chase them indoors. Etta's foster mom affectionately calls her "Dream Girl" because she has been a joy to care for, though her foster mom also sets clear boundaries to ensure Etta remains well-behaved.

Ideal Home

Etta would thrive in an active home that understands and can accommodate the needs of a heeler breed. Heelers are known for their energy and need a "job" to do, so she would make an excellent jogging partner or could excel in dog sports. Potential adopters should be aware that heelers can be a bit rowdy and may bark to herd, which is a natural instinct.

Ongoing Health

Etta is spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccines, and microchipped. She is also on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. She was previously heartworm positive, but this is being managed with monthly preventatives and will be resolved with continued care.

Training & Support

Etta is house-trained and crate-trained, with no reported accidents in the house or kennel. She has a good temperament, but as a heeler, she does have a natural instinct to herd and may bark. Consistent training and providing her with an outlet for her energy will be key to her continued success.
