Meet Rex, your wonderfully gentle and loving companion! This handsome four-year-old, silver-gray pit/staffy mix has a face as soft as velvet and eyes that melt hearts. He sports an adorable white chest spot that looks like a tiny tuxedo, making him instantly charming. While we can only guess his exact breed mix, we know for sure that Rex is an incredibly special boy with a heart as vast as his size. His foster parent describes him as a "big soft house hippo who knows how to chill" and is always happy, truly going with the flow of life with an easy, joyful attitude that makes him a delight to be around.

Ideal Home

Rex is a very adaptable dog and would be happy in various home environments, including apartments, due to his quiet and low-key nature. He enjoys having toys to entertain himself and is content to relax nearby. He thrives on affection and appreciates when you invite him for cuddles. Rex is also very gentle and patient with small children, and even a four-year-old can walk him on leash, as he instinctively knows to be careful. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and would be fine as a solo dog as well. While he hasn't been fully introduced to cats, further testing can be arranged if he seems like a good fit for your home.

Rex is a healthy boy! He is fully vetted and up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventative care.

Training & Support

Rex is a well-behaved boy who is already fully potty trained and crate trained. He enjoys his daily walks and walks nicely on leash, though he's happy to pause for a good sniff. He is treat-motivated, eager to please, and loves toys, especially Kongs and games of tug-of-war.

Rex is located in Texas but can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in multiple states, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You'll be able to track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Please note there is an $87 surcharge for transportation due to rising costs.
