Tucker

Tucker is a 4-year-old retired research Beagle. He's a gentle soul who's a bit shy at first, preferring cuddles over boisterous play. Tucker gets along well with cats and other dogs, and he's been great with kids. He's crate-trained and sleeps soundly in his crate at night, and he also uses it for naps during the day. When left alone, he stays comfortably crated and has always kept his space clean. Tucker is learning to walk on a leash, and he's also starting to pick up on basic commands and is eager to please. He's a good eater, though he takes his time. Tucker hasn't shown any interest in chewing inappropriate items, and he's still exploring his toy collection. He rides well in the car but can be startled by loud noises.

Ideal Home

Tucker would do well in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can explore.

Tucker is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Tucker is crate-trained and working on house training, which his new family will need to continue. Leash walking is another skill that needs to be perfected by his forever family. He is still learning about toys and his play skills are developing.

• If it's a good fit, you'll complete an adoption contract and pay a small adoption fee.

Transporation

Tucker is located in Piscataway, NJ. We generally adopt to families within a 90-mile radius of our home base, but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available.
