Elmo

Elmo is a wonderfully sweet, resilient, and quietly brave 10-month-old Great Pyrenees mix. He came to us after an injury, but thanks to the encapsulated bullet near his spine, he's now healthy, comfortable, and expected to live a long, happy life. This gentle giant loves his people, enjoys walks with his canine friends, and has a particular appreciation for a comfy dog bed. He shows mild interest in cats, so a dog-savvy feline would likely do well.

Ideal Home

Elmo would thrive in a home that understands he doesn't need to be an adventure athlete to be a wonderful companion. He'd do best with kids over 10 or sturdy children who are old enough to understand his medical history.

Ongoing Health

Elmo has a bullet lodged near his spine that has become encapsulated. Specialists have advised that attempting removal would be riskier than leaving it, and it does not affect his current health or comfort.

Training & Support

Elmo is still young and will grow into a large dog. He enjoys his walks and his people, but avoid extreme sports or excessive leaping in his immediate future.
