Meet Boone, a handsome hound boy who's approximately 60 pounds of pure smarts and sweetness. Boone, also known as Booney Boy or Boone Dog, is a unique pup with a big heart. He's incredibly intelligent, which is fantastic, but it also means he needs plenty of mental challenges to keep his mind engaged and prevent boredom or anxiety. Boone is a fast learner and already knows many tricks – he'd love to show them off for his forever person! As a true hound, his nose leads the way, and he thoroughly enjoys scent-based activities, whether it's exploring on walks or working for his kibble.
While Boone has a playful and loving side, his past experiences have left him a bit wary, and he can have some trust issues. He needs a patient and understanding adopter who can give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. Once Boone forms a bond with you, he'll be the most loyal companion you could ask for. He loves receiving pets from his trusted humans and is diligently working on managing his anxiety with the support of his dedicated walkers and our staff.
Ideal Home
Boone would do best in a home where he can be the star of the show or with carefully selected canine companions, as he can be a bit particular about his doggy friends. He's not a fan of the boarding environment and is eagerly awaiting a home where he can relax, feel secure, and truly shine. Boone will thrive with an experienced and patient foster or adopter who understands his needs. He is not a good fit for homes with cats or children.

Boone is up-to-date on all his vaccines and has been neutered and microchipped.

Boone is a quick learner and knows tricks. He is working on overcoming anxiety and trust issues. He will require an experienced and patient adopter.
