Theo, a 5-month-old Rottweiler/Golden Retriever mix, is a delightful and energetic puppy ready to fill your home with love and playful antics. Rescued from northern Manitoba, Theo has overcome past hardships and emerged as a sweet, silly, and loving companion. His silky, wavy coat and ever-wiggling nubby tail are sure to melt your heart. Theo is a fast learner, enjoys walks, snuggles, and playtime, and is already crate-trained and house-trained. He’s a smart boy who is eager to please and will thrive with consistent training and exercise.
Ideal Home
Theo would do well in a home with children aged 5 and up, as he is a calmer puppy. He adores other dogs and would enjoy a home with a tolerant, playful canine sibling. Theo also gets along with cats. An apartment is not recommended due to his increasing vocal nature. A home with or without a backyard is suitable, as he is happy to relieve himself on walks.
Ongoing Health
Theo is up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. He has been neutered.
Training & Support
Theo is currently in the "chew everything" phase of puppyhood and will require consistent reminders about appropriate chew toys. He knows "sit" and is working on commands like "down," "wait," "paw," and "drop it." Post-adoption obedience training is a requirement, and Theo will excel in this area due to his love for rewards and his desire to please. He needs 2-3 walks of 45 minutes each per day and will benefit from a family committed to keeping him active and engaged.
