Prince

Prince is a magnificent 3-year-old Great Pyrenees, tipping the scales at a robust 130 pounds. He's a classic Pyrenean who is keenly aware of his surroundings and takes his role as neighborhood watch very seriously. Be prepared for him to alert you to everything from the Amazon driver to passing squirrels and neighbors walking their dogs. He considers this important work and expects you to acknowledge his efforts!

Prince is a wonderful companion to his people and has a playful, fun-loving spirit. He's also respectful of strangers. While he enjoys playtime, his bursts of energy are dramatic and brief, often followed by a full-body flop and a happy, panting grin.

He's selectively deaf, only hearing what suits his priorities. Prince isn't an obedience champion and doesn't pretend to be. He's an independent, thoughtful dog who is quite capable of making his own decisions. He also sheds, barks at things he sees, and embodies all the wonderful traits Great Pyrenees are known for. He's not a fan of being told he's been "B A D" and will sulk, taking it personally.

Ideal Home

Prince needs adopters who truly understand and appreciate the Great Pyrenees breed and its unique quirks. He is house-trained, well-mannered in the home, and a joy for the right family. He requires a securely fenced yard and cannot be trusted off-leash. He would do best with teenagers and up.

Ongoing Health

Prince has no known health conditions.

Prince barks when he sees things and is selectively deaf. He is independent and comfortable making his own decisions.
