Chevy aka Puddles Wood

Meet Chevy, also known as Puddles! This handsome, approximately 1-year-old pup weighs in at a sturdy 75 lbs. Chevy is a wonderful blend of goofy charm and sharp intelligence, and he's just waiting for his forever family to discover his amazing personality. He does have a bit of "stranger danger" and needs a couple of introductions before he feels comfortable with new people, but once he warms up, he's an incredibly loyal and loving friend. The foster home where he currently resides has children, including a baby, but due to his initial caution with strangers, an adult-only, experienced home would be ideal for him.

Ideal Home

Chevy would thrive in a home with experienced dog owners who understand his need for a gentle introduction to new people. He gets along well with other dogs, though he might occasionally get into a minor scuffle over a toy. We don't know how he would do with cats. A home with lower foot traffic would be best, and a securely fenced yard is a must, as it will take him time to feel safe and trust his new humans, especially when going for walks.

Chevy is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

Training & Support

Chevy is currently working with a trainer to help him with his initial caution around new people. His foster family is happy to share their insights and experiences with him to help his new family succeed.
