Meet Honey, a 1-year-old, approximately 50lb Shepherd/Lab mix with a heart as golden as her coat! She’s a sweet, intelligent, and well-mannered pup who is ready to bring joy to her forever family. Honey can be a little shy when meeting new doggy friends, but she quickly warms up and becomes a playful companion. She absolutely adores her human friends, showering them with affection and kisses. Honey’s journey to safety is truly inspiring; she was rescued as a 2-month-old puppy who bravely sought help, showing incredible determination despite her difficult circumstances. Now healthy and happy, she’s eager to find a loving home to call her own.

Ideal Home

Honey would thrive in a home with a yard, and she would also prefer to have another dog as a companion. She can also adapt to living in a basement apartment or a townhome.

Ongoing Health

Honey is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has a hearty appetite and eats quickly, so a slow-feeder bowl is a must. She is not a fan of thunder, though rain does not bother her.

Training & Support

Honey is house-trained and is working on crate training. She enjoys chewing on things like cardboard boxes, socks, and papers, so it's important to keep tempting items out of reach. She is learning to be left alone for long periods, but may still need some guidance when completely solo.
