Nona is a spirited 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix who is currently enjoying life in foster care in Austin, TX. She's a delightful mix of playful puppy energy and growing confidence, ready to become a cherished member of a loving family. Nona has a unique charm with her sturdy, low-rider build that makes her surprisingly fast and agile. She loves to zoom around the yard, chase toys, and greet her favorite humans with an enthusiastic leap. Nona is a sweet and affectionate companion who enjoys being near her people, her whole body wiggling with joy. She's a social butterfly, happily meeting new friends, both two-legged and four-legged, and has even done wonderfully with a child she recently met. Nona is a clever girl who loves to solve puzzles and learn new things. She's motivated by toys and treats, making training a fun and rewarding experience. She's mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners, enjoying walks up to 2-3 miles. While she may not be a fan of car rides, her delightful personality shines once she arrives at her destination. Nona is fully crate and potty trained, though she'll benefit from continued reinforcement of her routine. She can be a little shy and will alert you to unfamiliar sights or sounds. Her adorable underbite adds to her already charming expressions. Nona is dog-friendly and enjoys playing with her foster siblings, though she'd do best with a canine companion who respects personal space. While she hasn't been around cats or young children in a home setting, her personality suggests she'd do well in a calm environment with respectful, older children. Nona is expected to grow into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog.
Ideal Home
Nona would do well in a home with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she would also be happy as the sole pet. She would thrive with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy.
Ongoing Health
Nona is up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed.
