Ferka is a charming Chihuahua, about 4 years old and weighing around 9 lbs. She's a small dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Ferka was found near a church, comfortable and social with people and other dogs. This sweet and social spirit is exactly who Ferka is today! She's crate-trained, rides calmly in the car, and is friendly with dogs, children, men, and women, even strangers. Ferka is affectionate, playful, and loves to give kisses, thriving on attention and being part of the family fun.
Ideal Home
Ferka would do best with tolerant, playful dogs, or with proper supervision, as her playful energy can sometimes be a bit much for other dogs. She cannot live with cats, as she tends to chase them. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred, and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities would be a great fit.
Ongoing Health
Ferka has received a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and is microchipped. She has also had a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and a vaccine booklet. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and patience.
Training & Support
Ferka is not house-trained. Owners should be prepared to work on this and understand that rescued pets may need time to adjust. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer is highly recommended to help this intelligent dog thrive. High tolerance and patience are essential for this rescued pup.

Transporation
Ferka is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery. We organize 3-4 trips per year, and our contracted transport company ensures a safe and comfortable journey. You will receive real-time updates on your pet's journey via a private Facebook Messenger group.
