Axel

Axel is a sweet 4-year-old, 30-pound Bull Terrier mix who came to us from Smith County, TX Animal Shelter. When he was first picked up, he was understandably scared, but once he was out of the kennel, he showed his true affectionate nature by showering us with licks. Axel is good on a leash, enjoys going for car rides, and has done well when introduced to other dogs in a group. He can be a little dominant towards some other male dogs, though. Axel was neutered on January 5, 2018, and he's had donations towards his vet care.

Ideal Home

Axel prefers to live outdoors and requires a fenced yard with shelter. He's not a lap dog, but he will jump on your leg to get your attention for pets.

Ongoing Health

Axel was heartworm positive when he came to us. He has been on heartworm prevention since and should be negative by now.

Training & Support

Axel is still learning and may need some guidance. He jumps on people to get attention, which can be addressed with consistent training.
