Rosie

Rosie is an absolute sweetheart who loves everyone she meets! She recently finished raising her 11 pups and is now ready to find her own forever home. This 1.5 to 2-year-old, 50-pound red coonhound mix still has her puppy playtime moments where she likes to play tug and fetch, and toss her treats up in the air like toys. She has plenty of puppy energy and needs her walks and playtime to stay happy. Then, she'll just as quickly decide it's time for bed and jump up next to you on the couch to sleep or try to crawl in your lap. She likes to watch the squirrels outside the window but rarely barks unless she sees deer walk by.

Ideal Home

Rosie would be great as an only dog or with a calm, balanced older dog. She cannot be placed in a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Rosie is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and has been treated for heartworm. She has been spayed and microchipped.

Training & Support

Rosie is 100% house and crate trained and responds well on leash. True to her breed, she will try to chase every squirrel she sees, but can quickly be brought back to attention on walks.

Rosie is currently located in the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. We are unable to adopt to families who live outside of this area.
