REBEL

Rebel is a loyal companion eager to find his forever family. An older, reserved gentleman, he's already lived his wild days and now enjoys the simple things in life. Rebel doesn't ask for much; he's happiest with a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or relaxing beside his favorite people. He does well with cats and other dogs, but he would do best in a home without children. Rebel does have resource-guarding behaviors around food that have led to biting, so he will need an experienced, adult-only home that understands these behaviors and is committed to continuing positive, reward-based training and management strategies to keep everyone safe and successful. Rebel is deserving of patience, understanding, and a loving forever family who can appreciate him for the gentle companion he is and support him in feeling secure.

Ongoing Health

Rebel is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and has received preventative flea treatment. His spay/neuter surgery is included in the adoption fee.

Training & Support

Rebel exhibits resource guarding behaviors around food that have led to biting, requiring an experienced owner committed to positive reinforcement training and management strategies. As with any rescue dog, patience and consistency will be needed as he adjusts to a new home environment.
