About Oreo (great with kids, calm, house trained, cuddly, friendly)

Oreo is a wonderfully sweet girl whose personality is just as delightful as her name! She's a family-loving companion who will greet you with a toy in her mouth and a wagging tail. After spending 10 months in a shelter, Oreo blossomed in her foster home, where she underwent heartworm treatment and is now eagerly awaiting her forever family. She absolutely adores the 19-month-old toddler in her foster home and has a male boxer dog sibling who keeps her company and shows her the ropes. Oreo hasn't met a human she doesn't like and her heart is full of love to give. She'll bring smiles with her thumping tail on the couch, playful toy-toting sprints, and gentle pawing for more belly rubs. Oreo also enjoys her stuffed toys and playing fetch. She's a fan of water and is the first to hop into a kiddie pool! While she gets along well with her foster doggy brother, Oreo can be vocal when she sees other dogs on walks. This is a work in progress with her foster mom. If her forever home includes a canine sibling, she would do best with a laid-back male who doesn't mind her occasional yapping. Oreo is also comfortable being left alone and won't engage in destructive chewing or scratching. She has waited for a loving home for far too long and truly deserves one. If you're ready to meet your next best friend, who is up for adventure or a cozy cuddle on the couch, Oreo is your girl!

Ideal Home

Oreo would thrive in a home where she can share her abundant love. If she's to have a doggy sibling, a laid-back male who can handle her vocalizations on walks would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Oreo has completed her heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Oreo is house-trained. She can be left alone without destructive behavior. She is currently working on being less vocal around other dogs on walks.
