Dagger

Dagger is a 6.5-month-old spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. She was rescued from the woods with her mother and littermates and has been raised in a loving foster home. Dagger is named for the dagger-shaped white marking on her neck. She has a playful energy but is also a cuddler, enjoying lap time and gentle love nibbles. She is fearless, curious, and a social butterfly who loves to play. Dagger is friendly with strangers and enjoys playing with other dogs. She has been around children and has done well, but has not been tested with cats.

Ideal Home

Dagger is a talented escape artist and will need a secure enclosure. She thrives with ongoing socialization and would benefit greatly from a canine mentor. She would do best in a home where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.

Dagger is potty trained but is still an adolescent and learning about the world. She will benefit from positive reinforcement, consistency, leash practice, and continued socialization.
