Meet Twila, our wonderfully gentle giant! Twila is a bit shy when she first meets you and finds comfort in the presence of other animals, which helps her feel safe to come out of her shell. She actually formed a special bond with another dog in her foster home, and we'd be thrilled if they could find a forever home together! Twila is incredibly sweet and loves to follow her people around, soaking up praise and accepting treats with the gentlest mouth. She gets along beautifully with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, simply wanting to be part of the pack. While she's good with children, loud noises can startle her, so a home with rambunctious or very loud kids might be too much for her sensitive nature. She's house-trained, loves a predictable routine, and is very low-maintenance, content to just hang out with her family. Twila craves love and wants to be a cherished member of her forever home. She walks perfectly on leash and embodies the classic Great Dane temperament – a gentle giant and a devoted cuddle bug.
Ideal Home
Twila would thrive in a home with a calm environment where she can feel secure. She would benefit from having other animal companions to help her feel more confident. Homes with rambunctious or very loud children may not be the best fit for her.
