Sadly, they feel he would do best in a home without other dogs, as he can get nervous and intimidated around them, sometimes reacting with growls and nips. Sammy does enjoy the company of feline friends, though he would prefer a calmer kitty over a hyper one. He's described as a low-energy guy who loves a good nap and lounging after his walks. Sammy is house and crate trained, and knows basic obedience. Because he's a hound, he's very food motivated, which means he might occasionally swipe a snack or raid the garbage if not supervised.
