Franck is a lively and affectionate 7-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix who weighs around 22 lbs. He’s a social butterfly who adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, children, men, and women. Franck thrives on attention, loves being petted, and feels most secure when showered with affection. He was found abandoned and suffering from severe mange, which unfortunately resulted in the partial loss of his tail. Despite his past challenges, Franck is now healthy, full of life, and eager to begin a new adventure with a loving family.
Ideal Home
Franck would do best in an active home with a fenced backyard. He needs a family that is genuinely committed to rescuing a dog and understands the needs of a rescued animal, including providing protection and education. Prior experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a willingness to hire a professional trainer is essential. A high level of tolerance and patience for a rescued puppy is a must.
Ongoing Health
Franck has recovered from severe mange and has had his tail partially amputated due to the condition. He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, including DHPPI shots, rabies, and Bordetella. He has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. He also receives monthly preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. Franck will be spayed/neutered before adoption.
Training & Support
Franck is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period due to past experiences, and patience is crucial. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help him feel secure. Families should be prepared to provide ongoing patience, understanding, and a safe, loving environment to help him build trust and thrive.
