Maize is a sweet 10-month-old Auggie (Australian Shepherd x Corgi) mix who is ready for her next adventure! She's a smart, athletic girl who thrives on activity, whether it's hiking, walking, or exploring new places. Maize is a wonderful travel companion and even has good off-leash manners, making her the perfect partner for an active lifestyle. While she can be a little shy with new people due to being under-socialized as a puppy, she warms up quickly with a patient adopter who understands that trust is earned. Once she's comfortable, she's an affectionate, fun-loving, and devoted companion. Maize also gets along famously with other dogs, cats, and even horses!

Ideal Home

Maize is looking for an active home that will include her in their everyday adventures. She'd do best with someone who understands herding breeds or has experience with them. A patient adopter willing to continue her socialization and confidence-building is key. She'd prefer an adult-only home as she hasn't been tested with children. Maize needs a house with room to move and is not suited to apartment living or a sedentary lifestyle.

Training & Support

Maize was under-socialized as a puppy, so she can be a bit overwhelmed by new people. She'll need an adopter committed to helping her build confidence and learn to trust.
