Benny

Benny is a sweet, funny, and playful young male dog who was found as a stray in the Rio Grande Valley. He's come a long way since arriving and is now very eager to be with his people. Benny is loving, affectionate, and really aims to please!

Ideal Home

Benny would thrive in a home that can continue his socialization with both people and other animals. He is currently around cats and mostly ignores them, but sometimes chases them, so he should not be left unsupervised with them. He gets along well with most female dogs but can be dominant towards male dogs. Careful introductions to new dogs are important. He also shows some resource guarding of food and people, and may try to "defend" his people from other dogs. He needs some time to build trust with new people, so a patient adopter is key.

Benny is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Benny is house-trained. While he has made great progress with his fearfulness around men and his dog interactions, he will benefit from continued socialization and careful introductions to new people and animals.
