Tyson is a handsome and resilient pup whose spirit shone even in his darkest days. He survived immense cruelty, neglect, and abandonment, left for dead on a remote mountain. Rescuers found him severely malnourished with skin and eye issues, a weakened immune system, and heartworms. Despite his hardships, Tyson's spirit remained unbroken. Now, he's healthy, healing, and rediscovering the joy of life, including his first taste of freedom and kindness. He's learned to walk calmly on a leash with a head halter, sit, stay, and play appropriately with other dogs, especially females. He's also crate trained and shows no food aggression, thriving in a structured, compassionate environment. Tyson still has pent-up energy from his past but is learning to express it through play, walks, and meaningful connections.
Ideal Home
Tyson would thrive in an active home that can provide regular walks or runs, or a spacious yard where he can fully experience the freedom he was once denied. He enjoys the company of other dogs, particularly females. A patient and loving home with older children or teenagers would be ideal, as they can support his continued journey of trust and discovery.
Ongoing Health
Tyson has successfully been treated for heartworms and has recovered from his past ailments, including skin and eye conditions, and a weakened immune system.
